HOW DOES TEETH WHITENING WORK?

You may already know what whitening does to the appearance of your teeth, but do you know how it works? Stains on teeth can be classified in one of two ways: extrinsic or intrinsic.
- Extrinsic stains appear on the surface of the teeth.
- Intrinsic stains, on the other hand, live between the microcracks in your enamel and deep within your dentin (the layer of the tooth underneath the enamel).
Professional cleanings, whitening toothpastes, and mouth rinses may be able to remove some of the extrinsic stains on your teeth. But only teeth whitening agents can remove the stubborn extrinsic stains and the unsightly intrinsic stains that may cause the teeth to look discolored.
Zoom whitening contains 25% hydrogen peroxide that we will place on the teeth for 3 15 minutes sessions. The lamp hovering over for the 3 15 minutes sessions will activate the peroxide. You will go home with free custom trays which also comes with a maintenance syringe that lasts up to three days.

Whitening is not considered a permanent thing. You will need to maintain with your custom trays.
